Use this tool to create custom code for Post Types with register_post_type() function.

Usage

Fill in the user-friendly form.
Click the “Update Code” button.
Copy the code to your project.

Function Name The function name.

Post Type Slug The post type name/slug. Used for various queries for post type content.

Text Domain Translation file Text Domain. Optional.

Name (Plural) Used for the post type admin menu item.

Name (Singular) Used when a singular label is needed and for generate post_type name.

Description A short descriptive summary of what the post type is.

Taxonomies Add support for available registered taxonomies. Comma separated list of Taxonomies.

Hierarchical Whether or not the post type can have parent-child relationships.

Menu Name Custom admin menu name for your custom post type.

All Items Used in the post type admin submenu.

Add New Used in the post type admin submenu.

Add New Item Used at the top of the post editor screen for a new post type post.

Edit Item Used at the top of the post editor screen for an existing post type post.

New Item Post type label. Used in the admin menu for displaying post types.

View Item Used in the admin bar when viewing editor screen for a published post in the post type.

View Items Used in the admin bar when viewing editor screen for a published post in the post type.

Search Item Used as the text for the search button on post type list screen.

Parent Item Used for hierarchical types that need a colon.

Item updated Used in the editor notice after updating a post."

Not Found Used when there are no posts to display on the post type list screen.

Not Found in Trash Used when there are no posts to display on the post type list trash screen.

Featured Image Used as the "Featured Image" phrase for the post type.

Set featured image Used as the "Set featured image" phrase for the post type.

Remove featured image Used as the "Remove featured image" phrase for the post type.

Use as featured image Used as the "Use as featured image" phrase for the post type.

Archives Post type archive label used in nav menus.

Insert into item Used as the "Insert into post" phrase for the post type.

Uploaded to this item Used as the "Uploaded to this post" phrase for the post type.

Filter items list Used as the "Uploaded to this post" phrase for the post type.

Items list navigation Screen reader text for the pagination heading on the post type listing screen.

Items list Screen reader text for the items list heading on the post type listing screen.

Attributes Used for the title of the post attributes meta box.

Admin Bar Name Used in New in Admin menu bar. Default "singular name" label.

Items published Used in the editor notice after publishing a post.

Items published privately Used in the editor notice after publishing a private post.

Items reverted to draft Used in the editor notice after reverting a post to draft.

Items scheduled Used in the editor notice after scheduling a post to be published at a later date.

Add Title Placeholder text in the "title" input when creating a post. Not exportable.

Public Show post type in the admin UI.

Show UI Whether or not to generate a default UI for managing this post type.

Show in Admin Sidebar Show post type in admin sidebar.

Admin Sidebar Icon Post type icon. Use dashicon name or full icon URL (http://.../icon.png).

Show in Admin Bar Show post type in admin bar.

Show in Navigation Menus Show post type in Navigation Menus.

Query var Direct query variable used in WP_Query. e.g. WP_Query( array( 'post_type' => 'product', 'term' => 'disk' ) )

Custom Query Custom query variable. Query var needs to be true to use.

Publicly Queryable Enable front end queries as part of parse_request().

Permalink Rewrite Use Default Permalinks (using post type key), prevent automatic URL rewriting (no pretty permalinks), or set custom permalinks.

URL Slug Pretty permalink base text. i.e.
www.example.com/product/

Use URL Slug Use Post Type slug as URL base.
Default: Yes

Pagination Allow post-type pagination.
Default: Yes

Feeds Build feed permastruct.
Default: Yes

Capabilities Set user capabilities to manage post type.

Base Capability Type Used as a base to construct capabilities.

Show in Rest Whether to add the post type route in the REST API 'wp/v2' namespace.

Rest Base To change the base url of REST API route. Default is the post type key.

Rest Controller Class REST API Controller class name. Default is 'WP_REST_Posts_Controller'.
